From time to time people ask for a LINT for FORTRAN. I just got a blurb for such a product from IPT called, believe it or not, FORTRAN-lint. I don't know anything more about it than that. There has been a tool with more accumulated experience (not quite 10 years) and it marketed by Softool of Goleta, CA. (805 area code). There are at least 4-5 others, but I don't think the majority run on Unix(tm). But then, I don't either language (`Si' inclusive) is truly portable. Just easily ported.
