kopaz@garfield.RDL.COM (John 'Echo' Kopaz) (07/26/88)
i am looking for a cleaned up version of the vicar image processing system to
run on unix.
i have an acient copy from jpl (i think) that looks like garbage,
(read-> fortran 66 :-), that was written for ibm's then translated to vms and
finally to unix. (with all the traces left in the code, it reads like an
archaeological find! :-)
i want to find out if anyone rewrote this system in f77 and/or c taking
advantage of the unix file system and serial i/o. (before i start doing it.)
i am also interested in constructive comments from people that use the vicar
system on how to bring this dinosaur into the modern world.
(don't flame me about using an out of date ip system. i have no choice!!)
