Apologies if this subject has come up before, but is anyone out there using a good Sun Fortran77 compiler? The "standard" f77 compiler has been known to do generally uncool things (it is particularly fond of random core dumps) as well as giving some fantastically obtuse error messages. There's got to be something better out there! We are especially interested in the availability of source-level debuggers. I have found a listing for "LPI-Fortran" from Language Processors Inc. in the Sun 3rd-party vendor catalog... any recommendations? We have two Sun/3's and a number of frustrated grad students. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Steve
