Hello, since there is so much discussion about Fortran-88: Does anybody know about Fortran-SC ? It contains lots of interesting features like vektor-operations, dynamic arrays etc. Its inventors ( and implementors ) have been at the last -88 meeting and they told me the new -88 has quite similar features. If You want to know more, ask Your lokal IBM sales office. Fortran-SC is available for FREE for those who own or buy ACRITH. Fortran-SC has been presented at various conferences, I don't know all the names, mostly those about numerical computations. You may get in touch with the inventors via 'wolff@uka' or via 'exunido!dkauni11.bitnet!AE18@unido'. If You are already on bitnet, please use the appropriate part of this address. R. Kirchner
