[my first and second requests got eaten, try, try again...] I'm looking for SW tools for analysis of large Fortran Programs. In particular, PD source for tools to generate: xrefs, linkage maps, data use info, "lint" like info, pretty printing, etc. At a minimum, I would like to obtain a simple lex/yacc parser for Fortran that I could use as a base for future tools. Additionally, I'm interested in users experiences with both PD and commercial tools such as: TAMPR, TOOLPACK, PFORT, POLISH and NEWTON (What is the current status of TOOLPACK ???) Please mail responses to jmw@sgi.com, I'll summarize. Thanks, Jim -- James M. A Toolpack mailing list is being maintained by dph@lanl.gov. He has been working on Version 2, and has been doing a lot with it. Try e-mailing to him to get on the list and the latest info. Toolpack is not what one would call robust and running it on large, complex programs causes much crashing. dan davison/theoretical biology/t-10 ms k710/los alamos national laboratory los alamos, nm 875545/dd@lanl.gov (arpa)/dd@lanl.uucp(new)/..cmcl2!lanl!dd no cute quote available!
