[comp.lang.fortran] Static code checkers

jdc@rama.UUCP (James D. Cronin) (02/25/89)

Are there any static code checkers available for Fortran? Do any of
them check for adherence to Ansi standards? Any suggestions, comments,
or experiences with currently available products are appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jim Cronin

Yes.

There are quite a few of them.

The ones I know of are ANALYZ from CSC, MAT from SAIC, DAVE from CU Boulder,
and PFORT which is part of Toolpack/1. I think NAG also offers a commercial
version of PFORT.

So which one is best?

I really couldn't say.
