I was asked to send out a copy of the (wonderful) credits from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Though they are long, I will type in an edited version of them for the net.movies posting. They are presented as a series of full-screen frames, followed in many cases by a small subtitle at the bottom. (These are taken from the book of the movie, published by Methuen, in 1977.) Notes: they are presented on black background with incredibly somber music playing in the background. Almost funeral dirge type music. Also, a slash (/) following an o indicates that the o was slashed, as in Swedish or Norwegian, and a colon (:) following an e means that the e has two dots (an umlaut?) over it. I think the rest is clear. Screen 1: written and performed by (the gang) then, at the bottom: "Ro/tern nik Akten Di" Screen 2: with (some other people) then: "wik" Screen 3/4: Also appearing / Also also appearing (more names) then: "Also wik" / "Also also wik" Screen 5: Camera people and the like then: "Wi no/t trei a ho/liday in Sweden this ye:r? Screen 6: Sound people and the like then: "See the lo/veli lakes" Screen 7: Other credits then: "The wo/nde:rful telepho/ne system" Screen 8: More other credits then: "And mani interesting furry animals" Screen 9: Miscellaneous serious legal stuff then: the usual note about similarities to living people, but it is signed Richard M. Nixon then: "Including the majestic mo/o/se" Screen 10: Songs etc. then: "A Mo/o/se once bit my sister." Screen 11: Costume Designer then: "No realli! She was Karving her initials on the mo/o/se with the sharpened end of an interspace to/o/thbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many No/rwegian movies: 'The Ho/t Hands of an Oslo Dentist', 'Fillings of Passion', 'The Huge Mo/lars of Nordfink'" Screen 12: In larger letters: We apologise for the fault in the subtitles. Those responsible have been sacked. then: "Mynd you, mo/o/se bites can be pretty nasti... Screen 13: In the same large letters: We apologise for the fault in the subtitles.
