[comp.lang.fortran] Questions about Ryan-McFarland Fortran

silvert@cs.dal.ca (Bill Silvert) (04/20/89)

I would like some information about RF Fortran to assist with a software
package for ecological modelling that we developed and distribute free.
It requires that the user have a Fortran compiler, and we support both
Microsoft and Lahey, but I can't find a RF compiler anywhere around here
to check out.

The only extension we use is the INCLUDE statement, and we need to know
the form of that (we use a PD versions of sed(1) to let users change the
format between MS and Lahey INCLUDE styles). Can INCLUDE's be nested?

We also need to know what the interfacing is for .OBJ files, since we
use a small assembly language package to provide features like cbreak
input that are not supported by Fortran (or does RF Fortran have either
a set of machine-dependent extensions to do this, or some sort of ASM
directive?).
