Hello! Can someone on this newsgroup recommend a good reference book on Fortran77 ? I do most of my programming in C. But once in a while, I have to modify some Fortran programs, or write Fotran programs from scratch. I don't need a book full of programming examples. What I need is a book that talks about the syntax of the language, and preferably has an appendix containing the syntax of Fortran77 statements in BNF notation. I would also like to see a listing of all the Fortran77 intrinsic functions. I recently came across one such book -- "Fortran 77," Harry Katzan, Jr., Van Norstrand Reinhold. However, This book was written in 1978. Does someone know of anything more recent. I don't read this newsgroup. Therefore, please email your responses. I will summarize on the net if there is enough interest.
