Regarding Fortran to C translators (mainly interested in F77 to C), does anyone have any figures on expected performance of the resulting code, when compiled on particular machines/compilers, etc. ? I seem to recall one company claiming that the resulting C code was guaranteed to run faster than the compiled F77 code, but I never saw anything very specific about it. thanks... - John McGrory mcgrory@iag.hp.com
