Given the rules X3J3 must follow in what the Fortran standard may specify and what it cannot, is it possible to require an intrinisic subroutine which will terminate execution of a fortran program and signal the OS that this program terminated with an error condition? This would enable OS scripts to initiate error processing or to not start up further programs dependent on this one for information. This seems like a universally supportable capability, and appropriate for standardization. -- Scott| ARPA: lamson@crd.ge.com Lamson| UUCP: uunet!crd.ge.com!lamson (518)387-5795| UUCP: uunet!sierra.crd.ge.com!lamson
