"Airplane!" got at least a little Pythonesque in it's closing credits... there were a few weird credits thrown in among the usual. My favorite came at the end of the Copyright notice: "... or duplication may result in criminal or civil prosecution to the full extent of the law. So there." Ron Wanttaja (ssc-vax!wanttaja) "Mon Capitaine! What ees one girl, more or less?" "C'est mon affaire!"

Two memorable comedy closings are Diner when the best man is giving his toast at Eddie's wedding and Animal House which was basically an epilogue. Sen. and Mrs. John Blutarski, Washington D.C. Daniel Schneider {...decvax}!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-vlnvax!schneider

< < Two memorable comedy closings are Diner when the best man is giving his toast at Eddie's wedding and Animal House which was basically an epilogue. Sen. and Mrs. John Blutarski, Washington D.C. Daniel Schneider < < In Diner, that is not the best man giving the speech. The best man was Bill. The man giving the speech was the guy who always needed a ride home (I cannot remember his name for the life of me). This, however WASN'T during the closing credits. It occured during the bride's tossing of her bouquet. Right after this, the credits start rolling, accompanied by some memorable conversation at the diner. I think you got these two confused (the speech and the diner conversation). Anyway, it was a great movie, and the credits were a fantastic ending. As for Animal House, that type of epilogue was copied from American Grafitti, which I think was the first. I could be wrong. Mark

Didn't anyone sit all the way through the credits to _Airplane_? After they finished there was final short scene involving the Taxi the hero had at the begining of the movie. I considered it sort of a reward for reading all the credits. But at the very end of the credits, after the standard copyright notice, after it says that you will be persecuted if you make an unauthorized copy, they inserted the sentence "So there." Well I thought it was funny. -- Peter Schachte (decvax!ittvax!schachte)

In the movie Easy Rider the order of credits were switched.I mean they presented the colsing credits in the begining of the movie, and the opening credits in the end.
