I'm posting this because it seems like a frequent question to me. I don't recall the article number, but a university in the Netherlands has written one of these tools. Someone posted about it in comp.os.vms last week. There's a commercial tool that I tried and liked, but couldn't afford at the time called FORTRAN-lint. Is for VMS and Data General. The license for a MicroVAX 2 was $4000-$5000 or so as I recall. I'll hunt up the net-addressof the Netherlands person, and phone number for the commercial product, if anyone wants those. Perhaps comp.lang.fortran could compile a list of opinions and sources of these, and put them in an ftp site? It seems to me that it's much easier to find C tools advertised than FORTRAN tools. --------------- My thoughts are my own, not the Navy's ------------------ Esther Lumsdon lumsdon@dtoa1.dt.navy.mil lumsdon%dtrc.arpa David Taylor Research Center, a Navy lab Annapolis Lab cm 301-267-3816 av 281-3816
