I've been talking to the folks at Microware again. Their FORTRAN compiler has some problems. They know it and want to fix it, but..... What they really want to do is license a compiler from someone else and port it to OS9/68k. So they are looking for a compiler like the UNIX f77 compilier that could be ported. They didn't tell me which compilers they had already looked at, but they did tell me they were not real happy with what they had looked at so far. With all this discussion here about what compiler is "best", I got to thinking maybe someone out there might like to suggest a compiler for the folks at Microware. What say you? Does anyone know of a good FORTRAN compilier that is compatable with C and UNIX and would be reasonable to port to OS9/68K? I will of course pass on these suggestion to the people at Microware. They are on the net, so they might even read this group. I know that they read comp.os.os9. R. Piner
