[comp.lang.fortran] Checksum problems from unpacking f2c from netlib@research.att.com

heintze@peewee.enet.dec.com (Sieg Heintze) (07/03/90)

I'm having troubles unpacking f2c. I sent to netlib@research.att.com to get
the f2c program source. I unpacked it on a DECSTATION running the lattest
version of ULTRIX. I received all the sources files and ran the makefile. It
told me that there is a problem with a certain file so I sent a message to
netlib@research.att.com for a new copy of that file. It fixed the problem
with that file, but there were are checksum problems with other files.

I tried using diff instead of cmp on the two files checksum files and noted
that there were many differences. So I requested a new copy of the entirety
of f2c and tried again. I experienced the same problem.
