[comp.lang.fortran] Floppy and Flow

julian@cernvax.UUCP (julian bunn) (08/30/90)

I have received several requests from people already using Floppy for
the partner program called Flow. I would have posted Flow to the Net
a long time ago, but there are several problems.

o It requires linking with several CERN-written application libraries,
which are all very large, and which could not be posted.
o The graphics "Structure Chart" plotting option uses GKS, and at CERN
is linked with GTS-GRAL's product. I am not allowed to make available
the executable created by linking with GRAL GKS!
o The code, although Fortran77, is rather odd-looking, as it makes
many calls to a data management package developed at CERN called
ADAMO, and is thus hard for others to modify if they require.

Despite these difficulties, if there is sufficient interest, I can make
available a non-graphics executable for VMS and for VM/CMS. This would
still allow the text structure chart to be produces, and the interactive
exploration of the program structure.

If you are interested in this possibility, then please mail me directly,
stating whether you want Flow for VMS or for VM/CMS.
