Fortran on 386 machines
-----------------------

Two weeks ago (or thereabouts) I posted a long message
summarizing comments I had received in response to an earlier
query on the net about FORTRAN compilers for 386 machines. Due
to my inexperience with the proper way to post messages it
appeared under the subject: (None). If anyone did not read that
message because of its inappropriate header and wants a copy of
that message please e-mail me so I can forward.

Despite the poor header, there were at least two replies on the
net. Both quoted me as the author od some specific comments. It
is only fair to point out that the comments referred to were
written by others (please see the original posting for details)
and I was simply quoting them. To the best of my knowledge, I
attributed all quotes correctly, my apologies if that was not
obvious.
