It is, indeed, called "The Creeping Terror," although I understand (from Leonard Maltin's TV Movie book) that it was also released as "The Crawling Monster." This hilarious abomination was made around 1962, on the shores af Lake Tahoe. It's about a killer shag rug that rapes cars and overturns women. No, that's not backwards -- see the movie and you'll know what I mean. Anyway, this rug moves at about 3-4 mph, but, of course, has no trouble capturing people screaming "Don't eat me!" while working very hard to fit themselves INTO the creature's mouth. Also, killing the creature doesn't do any good, since another one comes out of thin air to replace it... How? Why? I don't know... Final note: The original soundtrack was lost just after filming. So, the character's lips move, but they are silent. A narrator was dubbed in, but, in some places, they attempted (and failed) to lip-sync. Catch the prize scene where the fat man looks for the kid Bobby, calling for him. Hear his voice 5 seconds after his lips move. It's great. This is a movie not to be missed. This deserves a twin billing with "Plan 9 From Outer Space" (and, in fact, this has occurred). Look for it on late-night bad TV. Stay up and watch it! You won't regret it (but then again...). As for the people who made the movie, they've never been heard from again. ========================================================================= "Bobby... Bobbeeee... Boooobby..." David C.
