[comp.lang.fortran] has anyone tried f2c/gcc on msdos?

larry@pylos.cchem.berkeley.edu (Raymond L. June) (02/17/91)

Hello,

Recently, a msdos port of gcc (the FSF C compiler) has appeared
under msdos for 386 based pc's. This is a full 32 bit compiler for
msdos that comes with a run time dos extender. Now, before I download
gcc (we're talking 2 MB compressed), has anybody tried the combination
of AT&T's f2c and gcc on a 386 pc as a 386 extended mode fortran
compiler for pc's? The key is that all this software is FREE.

e-mail or post the response. I'll summarize all responses to whoever asks
at the addresses listed below.

Thanx in advance

Larry June
