This is for a friend of mine, and she hasn't told me much about her problem, but I'd just thought I'd see if any gurus out here could help. Is there any way to take a data file where you don't know ahead of time what formats are in the file, and read through it and have the program tell you what the data type of each entry in the file is? Or, is there a way to search through this data file for a given type, again if you don't know what types are in this file? Please reply by e-mail. Thanks.
