[comp.lang.fortran] Question: where can I get f2c?

oliver@fire.berkeley.edu (Oliver Sharp) (05/11/91)

I hope this isn't a FAQ ... I don't usually read this group and on scanning
a hundred postings or so I didn't see anything. I'm working with a bunch
of Fortran programs and it would be nice to run them on my workstation,
which doesn't have a Fortran compiler on it. From what I understand, f2c
makes this a perfectly viable proposition. I'd like to try it, at least,
but it doesn't seem to be on NETLIB or my other usual archives.
Could some kind soul tell me how to get it via FTP? Also, if
you have used it a lot and could comment on code quality, I'd be
interested in what you think. As long as it's somewhat reasonable,
that's fine.

I'll post an update when I find out; please email me to avoid wasting
net bandwidth.

Thanks very much,
- Oliver
