When THE COCA-COLA KID was first shown to the public here at Dartmouth, the
same question was brought up.  According to Makavejev, the film's director,
the reason why he did this is simply because he needed the viewers' attention
(Brilliant, isn't it?) for the last scene, the rats in the doll house.  Had
he not put that caption people would have thought the film was over and would
have begun to rise and walk out, thus missing the last scene (Makavejev loves
animals!, by the way).
