I have a customer at a University here in town that needs to do some graphical programming using LPI Fortran running under Unix (Sys V). The output is farily basic - line charts and the like and color is not required. Can someone point me in the right direction? I don't know fortran and this customer is getting irritated about not being able to program graphics. Preferably, any pointers should be to public domain X-Windows Fortran bindings. A similar thread in comp.windows.x turned up 0 results. If all else fails, is it possible to use the BSD tplot C library using fortran CALL statements? Thanks in advance. -Nathan Lane Digital Technology Service Santa Barbara, CA (805) 683-3760

Your customer might be interested in the scientific graphic library developed and maintained by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Program and documentation would be available for a very modest cost to educational institutions as NCAR is managed by a consortium of universities. Automatic installation is available for a number of different mainframes and workstations. For more info. you can contact: NCAR Graphics Information Scientific Computing Division P.O.
