I am looking for literature on introducing modules in
Prolog (or its variants). Does anybody have any
suggestions?

How about

	Hideyuki Nakashima:  Knowledge Representation in Prolog/KR.
	Proc. of 1984 International Symposium on Logic Programming,
	IEEE

I believe the multiple world is the one of the LOGICAL way to
introdue modules into Prolog.
