[comp.lang.prolog] tgrind for Prolog to TeX

arun@mandrill (Arun Lakhotia) (04/19/88)

Since my posting I have received several request for pl2tex. I also
received pointers to "tgrind", a utility that does TeXing for several
languages. I find "tgrind" sufficient for most of my current TeXing
needs.

If your system does not have tgrind, you may write to tgrind's author
Van Jacobson of Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories, van@lbl-rtsg.arpa; or
find out a ftp site that houses it.

There are some subtle features that are in pl2tex and not in tgrind.
Like mixing regular text and program using a \begin{prolog} and
\end{prolog}, or customizing the formatting as per your liking. These
may however be implemented in tgrind by writing a shell script, or
redefining the tgrindmac.tex macros. "tgrind" does a better job for
comments.

Thanks to John Sellens, U of Waterloo for pointing me to tgrind and
Nick North, National Physics Laboratory, UK, for sending the vgrindefs
for Prolog.
