The LIST-of-PROLOGs is still available (by FTP or e-mail) from UNC. This is a list of over 50 Prolog systems, with particular emphasis on those readily available to academic users -- that is, some offer substantial discounts to non-commercial users, others are very in- expensive to begin with, and a few are even free! Prologs in this list include the following: Advanced AI Systems Prolog, A.D.A. Prolog, ALS Prolog, Arity/Prolog V5.0, Basser Prolog, BIM-Prolog, BNR Macintosh Prolog, C-Prolog, Caltech Prolog, CLP(R), Edinburgh Prolog (formerly NIP), EqL, ExperProlog-II, GProlog, Horne, HP Prolog, ICL Prolog, IF/Prolog, Lambda Prolog, LISPLOG, LM-Prolog, LOGLISP, LPA Mac-Prolog, MacPROLOG, Micro-Prolog, Modula-Prolog, MProlog, MU-Prolog, NU-Prolog, PARLOG, Personal Prolog, POPLOG, Prolog-1, Prolog-2, Prolog-10 and Prolog-20, Prolog-86, Prolog-II, PROLOG/i, PROLOG/m, Prolog-CRISS, PROLOG/P, Quintus Prolog, Rhet, Salford University Prolog, SB-Prolog, Sicstus Prolog, TI Prolog, Trilogy, UNH Prolog, UNSW Prolog, Uranus System, VM/Prolog, VS/Prolog, VPI Prolog, WProlog, York Portable Prolog, ZYX Macintosh Prolog Additions are always welcome. Please send me mail if you know one I missed or if you have newer information on one already in this LIST. Several people have sent updates since LP'88 in August, but many of the entries are a year old or more. To grab a copy, connect to dopey.cs.unc.edu, log in as "ftp", and use your name as password. The list is in the directory pub/LIST. The file will be named something like "PrologList.9.23" (depending on the date), and a compressed version (with a .Z suffix) is available. If you cannot FTP or if you have trouble, please send mail. ______________________________________________ Bruce T.
