The Introductory Workshop provides the foundation to begin writing programs
using the Prolog development environment. Topics include: understanding
variables, data structures, principles of unification, interfacing to other
languages (such as C), arithmetic and the use of built-in predicates.
Students should be familiar with general programming principles.

The Advanced Workshop is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of
Quintus Prolog. Students will learn to design and develop large, efficient
Prolog programs. Topics include: use of Quintus I/O, database design, data
structurers, using the Quintus Debugger and Cut, and interfacing to foreign
languages. Prerequisites are familiarity with traditional languages, such
as C, and the basics of Prolog.
