CALL FOR PARTICIPATION\\[5pt]
{\large \bf Logic Programming Environments: The Next Generation}\\
NACLP-89 Workshop; Cleveland, Ohio, USA\\
Friday, October 20, 1989
\end{center}
This one day workshop will focus on current and future trends in
building logic programming environments. The discussions will
cover all issues directly relevant to the construction of logic
programming environments such as:
\begin{verse}
$\bullet$ Integrated programming environments for Prolog and/or other
logic languages\\
$\bullet$ Syntax directed editors for logic languages and
high-level editing support using program transformation\\
$\bullet$ Graphical/animated debugging by visualizing program execution\\
$\bullet$ Static analysis tools for program diagnostics\\
$\bullet$ Interface with external systems such as languages and windowing
systems\\
$\bullet$ Performance measurement tools
\end{verse}
The attendance will be limited to 20 active researchers. The
workshop would be evenly divided between presentations and discussions.
Those interested in making a presentation are invited to submit
an extended abstract of 3-5 pages on experiences with
developing such tools, position statements of on-going work, or
simply ideas for new tools.
The emphasis should be on justifying
their need, their impact on a programmer's productivity, the design
of their human interface and behavior, and integration with
existing environments.
Those interested in attending only may submit a one page
description of their research interests and current work.
