[comp.lang.prolog] Where to begin to build a parallel Prolog engine??

byu@csri.toronto.edu (Benjamin Yu) (08/25/89)

I would like to build a parallel Prolog system to test out some of
the execution models which I am currently doing research on. I
would appreciate comments as to where to begin: is there any base
or existing source code that I can use? is there any existing
parallel systems that I can either modify or have access to the
source code so I can make changes to them (eg. PARLOG, GHC, LOGIX, etc.)?
Is there any public domain compiler to translate Prolog code to
WAM machine code and implementations of WAM on SUN etc.?

As you can see, I am trying to write as few code as possible!!

Thanks!! (I will summarize if there is enough interest.)
