In a previous posting, Richard O'Keefe mentioned the Berkeley Prolog system. Just in case people get the wrong idea, I would like to say that this system is intended for performance analysis and is not complete. It was developed mainly by Herve' Touati for his analysis and garbage collection work. In fact, it's got a real nice garbage collector, which is a good enough reason to get a copy if you're interested in implementing your very own Prolog system. By the way, it's written in a combination of Prolog and C++ and is available by anonymous ftp from arpa.berkeley.edu. Peter Van Roy
