-- As always I went out there eager to enjoy. The first half (even 2/3) provided all the opportunities. Senior citizens were wonderful, but... At some point show turns pathetic: it takes itself seriously, yet plot is weak, all the soul motions of stubborn old fellow are incomprehensible, aliens are annoyingly antropomorphic and their actions resemle either your neighbour Charlie or logic of self-modifying assembler code. Pumped-up suspence of last minutes plus all the magic thunderous music and weird behavior of all characters, and silly Rulers-of-the-Universe type graphics were probably designed to create some tear-jerking effect. For me it spoiled the good beginning. Not to mention the fact that all that stuff blatantly was shot in steamy dark pool - not ocean. Result - good characters turned victims of bad blinking lights and whistles spectacle. Far worse then infamous ending of ET (wide open eyes, deep breathing...) Mike Cherepov
