CALL FOR PROPOSALS TO ORGANIZE WORKSHOPS

Associated with each of the past two logic programming meetings,
there have been a set of workshops that provide a forum for
presenting ideas and discussing issues of interest within a
particular area. As examples of the kind of workshops held in the
past, the following were associated with the ICLP'90 just held in
Jerusalem:

1: Semantics of Concurrent Logic Languages
2: Abstract Interpretation and Program Analysis
3: Logic Programming Environments
4: Parallel Logic Programming
5: Partial Deduction and Partial Evaluation
6: Structuring Disciplines for Logic Programming

I think these workshops have come to be one of the most exciting
parts of the LP meetings, providing a place really to interact
informally with others who have similar interests.

We wish to again provide this forum associated with the NACLP'90
meeting in Austin, Texas, Oct 29 - Nov 1, 1990. The afternoon of
Thursday, Nov 1, and Friday, Nov 2, have been set aside for
workshops.

I will co-ordinate the workshops for NACLP-90. If you are interested
in organizing a workshop (not a difficult job), PLEASE SEND ME A
SHORT PROPOSAL AND DESCRIPTION OF THE TOPIC.

Please contact me if you have any questions about the workshops or
procedures.
