ILPS91 --- Call For Poster Papers 1991 INTERNATIONAL LOGIC PROGRAMMING SYMPOSIUM * (* Formerly called ``North American Conference on Logic Programming'' (NACLP)) San Diego, California, U.S.A., October 28--31, 1991 Sponsored by the Association for Logic Programming. Descriptions of successful applications or progress reports of substantial projects are of interest to a wide audience, especially from industry. However the content of such descriptions or progress reports is not always suitable for presentation as an academic paper. In an attempt to widen participation in logic programming conferences and provide an informal outlet for valuable experience not easily captured in a technical paper, a poster session will be included at the next logic programming conference in North America, ILPS'91. There will be a room at the conference where posters will be displayed and times designated where conference attendees can ask questions of poster presenters. Submissions for the poster session will be handled separately from regular conference papers. The submission should be an abstract of the work written in English, taking no more than two pages (approximately 1000 words). Submissions can be made electronically or 6 copies of the paper can be sent by regular mail to the poster session chair. Each submission will be reviewed separately by the poster review committee. See details below. Selection will be based on relevance and potential interest. Applications are especially sought. We intend, subject to agreement of the author, to forward submissions accepted for the poster session for publication in the Association for Logic Programming Newsletter. It is anticipated that posters will be particularly attractive for workshop participants. Such participants may be interested in disseminating their research to a wide audience, but may not have a paper in the conference proceedings. Reporting the same research project or application both at a workshop and during the poster session is explicitly encouraged. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Submission deadline: May 20, 1991 Submission content: 2-page extended abstract (1000 words) Author notification: June 28, 1991 Mail submission address: Leon Sterling, ILPS'91 Poster Chair, Department of Computer Engineering & Science, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, 44121, USA Phone: +1.216.368.5118 Fax: +1.216.368.8776 Electronic submission address E-mail: leon@alpha.ces.cwru.edu Poster Review Committee ----------------------- Kim Marriott, IBM Hawthorne, USA Vijay Saraswat, Xerox PARC, USA Leon Sterling, Case Western Reserve U., USA Kazunori Ueda, ICOT, Japan Pascal van Hentenryck, Brown U., USA David H.D.
