Many thanks to all who responded about Meridian. Most of the responses I received were copied to info-ada and comp.lang.ada. Somebody suggested that I just call Meridian for information on the compiler. What I was trying to get was information on the company. Some of us have been burnt by the "two guys, a slick brochure and a mail drop" syndrome, I'm sure. The reason Meridian was new to me is that they changed their name from LNS. One of the princial authors of the compiler is Steve Whitehill, who wrote the Ada Operating System for the Arcturus System at UC-Irvine. Since Arcturus switched from their own interpreter to the ICC (nee ICSC) compiler this must be at least the third Ada language processor, Whitehill has had a hand in. From the reports I received from people who have seen the compiler, it looks like it's "ready for use". Don't you wish Alsys had gone public, so you could have shorted their stock? B-) Once again, thanks to all who responded to the call. Rob Spray Electrospace Systems Inc & Southern Methodist University ...convex!smu!spray spray%smu@csnet-relay
