Billy Jean was a great movie if you are into "the Good may win but the Bad WILL lose" type movies. I found the movie just too unsofisticated for my tastes simply because it was the type of movie that you could guess what was going to happen next. You know - the type of scenes like in AVTAK when the Balloon takes off and Bond is still on the ground. I sat in my seat at that point and thought "Look, now watch Bond jump on." Well, I guess Billy Jean wasn't that bad but it was close. This movie used your basic "make-money" themes like morality and the generation gap. It reminded me of the Disney films back in the '70s. Yes, again! You see the "Evil Old Men" vs "All American Youth" theme complete with a "We've got to be strong and fight!" song by Pat Benatar (just like every other song she ever wrote). Sorry, guys. No suprises. eliot "From a town known as SOMEWHERE IN TEXAS came a girl WITH A BROTHER WITH A WATER PISTOL IN HIS HAND and her daring HATRED OF SLIME made her a legend in her time East and West of the Rio Grande."
