Some of you may have noticed that a few times in the past couple weeks an additional INFO-ADA digest has come out. My understanding of the digesting software is that it clears the queue whenever a threshhold of approximately 15,000 bytes of material is collected, or early in the morning (3:30 I think) for whatever messages are collected. Although this potential processing during the day places additional load on the DDN during the day, mail files of any larger size would wreak even worse havoc with timeouts and other delays. I am looking into the possibility of having the digest created when required, but stored for nighttime transmission. Comments and suggestions to info-ada-request@ajpo.sei.cmu.edu, please.
