The annoying problem plauging the Ada BBS serial port has been fixed. Communications into the bbs system are now quite reliable at 9600 (telibit), 2400, and 1200 baud. To get into the Ada BBS, dial (301)-356-4532 have communications port set to eight bits, no parity. Type "bbs" at the login prompt. We are now running XBBS which is more reliable than the other program previously running. Download and upload supports kermit, xmodem, ymodem, sealink, and zmodem. The purpose of the bbs is to support users of PC Ada compilers and Unix Ada Compilers. Conferences focus on software tools, embedded systems, compiler bugs and workarounds, signal processing issues, and general ada topics. Software for download is available featuring components, packages, etc, unix programs, some msdos programs. Software is distributted in source form. Contributions are welcome. This bbs is privately owned and owes no allegence to any vendor or product, so all are welcome to participate. Untl a second line is installed, users are limited to 45 minutes per day. Anyone can register by calling the bbs and loging in as a new user. Because this is a private system, and not a commercial venture, any donation towards equipment or phone expense is gratefully accepted.
