Dear Colleagues,
I would like to share with you information regarding changes
which have just recently occurred here at the Ada Joint Program Office
(AJPO). Effective December 8, 1988, I assumed the position of Special
Assistant for Software and Computer Technology. In this position, I
will be responsible for the review and oversight of all the software
and computer programs within the Office of the Deputy Director of
Defense Research and Engineering (Research and Advanced Technology).
I am pleased to announce that Mr. William Ritchie of the Defense
Technology Analysis Office (DTAO) has been designated the Acting
Director of the AJPO. Mr. Ritchie has been supporting the efforts of
the AJPO for the last 2 years and is an excellent selection for this
position.
I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all of you who
have contributed to the Ada Program and assisted me with my work as
Director of the AJPO during the last 3 years. Our progress and success
was directly attributable to the collective efforts of numerous
individuals, all working toward a common goal.
I hope that you will continue to provide to Mr. Ritchie your
strong support and enthusiasm for the many acitivities of the AJPO.
