Please excuse the triviality of this inquiry, but can you all recommend a good text on ADA ? I would prefer: maximum coverage (i.e. a reasonably long book), suitable as tutorial and with some reference utility, appropriate for a programmer with much experience in languages in general (Pascal, Modula, Fortran, COBOL, etc but NOT C) but with only understanding of object-oriented systems and languages - little hard experience, NO experience in ADA itself, good background on theory and why - not obsessive with examples. "Software Engineering With Ada", second edition, by Grady Booch is a classic text. It has elaborate examples and as the title suggests, concentrates on application of Booch's object oriented style of programming to software engineering. It is intended as an introductory text, and I recommend it along with the Ada Language Reference Manual. Bob Hathaway rjh@purdue.edu
