[comp.lang.ada] TRI-Ada '89 Reminder

engle@SEI.CMU.EDU (Chuck Engle) (05/19/89)

Dear Colleague:

As you probably already know, the TRI-Ada '89 conference will be held
23-26 October 1989, in Pittsburgh. TRI-Ada '89 will be an important
and technically meaningful conference; in excess of 1500 attendees are
expected, along with exhibits from more than 70 compiler, CASE tools,
and end-item system developers. Indeed, about 90% of the exhibit space
has already been sold. If you haven't already done so, please mark
the dates on your calendar and make plans to attend!

The David Lawrence Convention Center, where this year's event will be
held, has numerous rooms available to us. However, as is almost
always the case, it may not be possible to accommodate all potential
groups that need to have a room available for their use, especially in
view of conflicting time requirements. Therefore, we ask that you
consider carefully the requirements that your committee, or group, may
have for a meeting room and notify us as soon as possible. We will
need:

    o Name of committee/working group

    o Contact *person*

o Mechanism of contact (phone, address, Email, just in case one of the
conference staff needs to verify your information)

    o Date/time of meeting

    o Purpose of meeting

    o Duration of meeting

    o Number of people expected

o How to set room if you want specific setting

    o AV requirements

o Any other equipment requirements (e.g., flip boards, magic markers)

For your planning purposes, you should know that on Monday night there
is likely to be a reception from 6:30 PM until 8:00. On Tuesday there
will be a boat cruise down the Three Rivers from 8:00 until 10:30,
with a cocktail and boarding hour from 7:00 until 8:00. On Wednesday
we plan to have the ever popular Ada Follies from (approximately) 8:00
until 9:30.

The conference ends on Thursday at 5:00, but we still have the
conference center booked for the night, so if you can find people that
want to stay you can still schedule for that evening.

We will attempt to accommodate everyone, but in the event that there
are insufficient rooms at a given date and time, we will reschedule as
needed. Thus, you should respond as soon as you can accurately
forecast your requirements, since we will use a first-come,
first-served method to allocate the rooms.

Thank you for your interest in TRI-Ada '89. We look forward to seeing
you at this year's premiere Ada event!

Regards,

Chuck Engle John Foreman
