SUBJ:  ALS/N PUBLIC REVIEW, ALS/N USER'S GROUP MEETING

Encl:  (1)  Information Package

1.   An Ada Language System/Navy (ALS/N) Public Review will be
held at the Naval Ocean Systems Center (NOSC), 12 September 1989,
to review the status of the ALS/N.  A meeting of the ALS/N User's
Group will be held in the afternoon following the Public Review.
Both meetings are open to the public and government agencies.
The public Review will consist of presentations by the Navy
sponsor and the developing contractors covering program status,
technical overviews, and demonstrations of the ALS/N products
and information for obtaining the most current release.  The
agenda for the ALS/N User's group meeting is enclosed.

2.   These meetings are not classified.  However, a visit request 
must be on file at NOSC, San Diego for all attendees not having 
a previously issued NOSC badge.  Please send your requests to:
Naval Ocean Systems Center, (ATTN: Cathy Ruiz, Code 411), 271 
Catalina Blvd, San Diego, CA, 92152-5000.

3.   For questions reqarding visit requests, contact Cathy
Moeller, (619) 553-4067 or Julie Fisher (619) 296-0085.  For 
other questions, contact the meeting Coordinator, Ms. Cathy
Ruiz, (619) 553-4004.  It is requested that each activity,
contractor, company, or individual planning to attend respond to
this announcement iwth a written visit request or a telephone
call to the meeting cooordinator providing the number of people
planning to attend.
