I am currently teaching myself how to program in Ada from a textbook. Even though I consider the book ("An Introduction to ADA," by S.J. Young) to be well written, I am concerned that my understanding of the language and its capabilities will not be complete. It's important that I learn Ada because my job requires it. Unfortunately, my company does not have any in-house Ada courses. Could someone out there let me know about such classes (both short- and long-term)? Thanks. Andrew Lue {ucbvax!sun!nsc!andrew}

Andrew, try Foothill and Stanford. At one time the Northeastern Bay Area Technology Center (in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara) had a class scheduled, but I'm sure if this is still valid. Hope this helps.

As chairman of the Naval Air Development Centers Ada Training Committee,I've taken it upon myself to explore this INFO-ADA group to find potential sources for in-house Ada training courses. A recent survey which was completed has indicated that the line management anticipates a considerable need for Ada training. The courses that we are immediately looking for are: Ada Language Overview Ada Project Management Software Engineering with Ada Ada and Software Development Standards Ada Programming Workshop Advanced Ada Programming Workshop Designing Real Time Systems with Ada Any company interested can send their Curriculum and Rate Schedule for classes at the customer site to: John Markow, Code 032 Naval Air Development Center Warminster, Pennsylvania 18974-5000 Please respond by 3 October, 1989.
