As part of my Masters thesis at Western International
University in Phoenix, Arizona, I am surveying DoD
contractors that develop software. The title of my thesis
is:
"A STUDY TO DETERMINE THE TREND OF DoD CONTRACTORS IN
ESTABLISHING SOFTWARE ENGINEERING PROCESS GROUPS"
My employer is McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company (MDHC) in
Mesa, Arizona. The research is part of my masters program
and NOT part of any assigned job function. As such, MDHC
will be treated identically to all respondents.
Respondents to the survey will be entitled to the RESULTS of
the survey data which should be available during December
1989. Respondents will need to indicate that they want the
RESULTS of the research data. Original data submitted will
NOT be made available.
IN ALL CASES THE ORIGINAL DATA SUBMITTED WILL BE HELD IN
CONFIDENCE BY ADHERING TO THE PRINCIPLE OF
STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY!
Optimum respondents to the survey will exhibit the following
characteristics:
1. Organization develops software for the DoD
2. Knowledgeable about software engineering organization
and the development process
