An Operating System Standard for the Navy's Next Generation Computer Resources (NGCR) Time: Wednesday, 12:15 - 1:15 pm Description: To meet the Navy's operational requirements a new approach to standardization has been defined which will allow technology currency, leverage of industry investment and competition through adoption of joint Navy/Industry standards for all major facets of computer hardware and software. The overall NGCR program will be described, then the operating system interface portion of this effort will be discussed in more detail.
