I've seen the movie "Being There" a few times and loved it. I have also read the book by Kosinski. It is also very good but it does differ from the movie. It is short, but it provides some insight into how Kosinski viewed Chance as opposed to how the director of the movie viewed Chance. I suggest that if you liked the movie you should read the book.

Did anybody out there see "Being There" with Peter Sellers? My question is this: In the original I seem to remember that the final credits rolled over a bunch of out takes of Peter Sellers making mistakes. I watched the last hour of it on cable the other day and the credits were shown over a bunch of TV fuzz. What gives?

I rented the videotape of Being There the other day and the final credits were shown over the outtakes. ------------------------------------------------------------ Doug Blondin ihnp4!druxj!blondin (303) 538-4874

The version shown in movie theaters did have the funny cuts at the end, but when they brought it to TV, somehow they decided not to include them....They should've left them in....the part where he is asking that black lab technician if he knows "Ramone" (??) is great!! The out-takes are missing from the video cassette as well -- I almost rented it just to see the outtakes, and was quite annoyed to find them missing... -- James Carrington Sun Microsystems Inc.
