As a new ADA-user I would like to post this request for reusable ADA-packages(building-blocks) and whatever there might exist that would confirm to the ADA-theory of reusability. Please don't send source. Information about where to GET sources from, preverably via use-net would be optimal. Something like a PublicFileList of ada-packages. Thanks in advance

A good source of technical information on reuseable Ada software components is the book _Software Components with Ada: Structures, Tools, And Subsystems_, Grady Booch, Benjamin/ Cummings Publishing Company, 1987. The taxonomy of components Booch outlines is available from a number of vendors, such as Wizard Software and EVB. There are domain-specialized components available from other vendors (lib systems, Quantitative Technology, etc.) as well. Government repositories (STARS, RAPID, and the ASR) are extensive; information on accessing the Ada Software Repository can be obtained by e-mailing a request for information to: ADA-SW-REQUEST@WSMR-SIMTEL20.ARMY.MIL which is a good place to get started.
