[comp.lang.ada] Need Ada Calling Tree Utility

jcox@x102a.ess.harris.com (Jamie Cox) (08/01/90)

I am looking for a program that will generate a calling tree for an Ada
program. If anyone has such a thing, please let me know.
If I can't find a calling tree utility, as such, second choice would be
some sort of cross reference utility. Obviously, if you can get a cross
reference of procedures (without the millions of variable names) you're
pretty close to a calling tree.

  Thanks, Jamie.

My company offers a tool called ADADL which gives you
call trees and full cross reference among many
other reports.

Since you work for HARRIS you may want to contact:

    Dan Rittersdorf danr@ssd.csd.harris.com
    (305) 973-5379

Harris markets our tools on Harris machines, so if you
are using a Harris for development, Dan may be able to
help you, or point you to somebody who can.

If your budget is limited but time is not
there are tools available on wsmr-simtel20.army.mil.
Most are of limited
capability, having trouble on large programs, or
obscure syntax. They are written in Ada, and you
will have to compile them. Most were written under
goverment contract and were not tested too well.

If you have any questions please call or e-mail.

Here are few possibilities (I vouch for none of them).
DEC's Source Code Analyzer - report command
  Rational's Design Facility
  Intermetric's Byron Toolset
