I read recently that the Ada-9X committee is considering adding object- oriented extensions to Ada, including inheritance & dynamic binding. Can I get some information on this, or are the discussions too tentative yet for the committee to have published anything? Larry Carroll @ JPL

Re: OO and Ada 9X I recommend you look at the publically available Ada 9X revision requests and the Ada 9X revision requirements draft for the possibilities/requirements being considered. We are not yet in the position of publically releasing an "official" language change proposal (this will be happening sometime in the spring of 1991, with hints earlier at Tri-Ada/Sig-Ada/Ada-UK meetings). The RRs and the draft requirements are available by anonymous FTP from the AJPO.SEI.CMU.EDU machine (public/ada9x), on the Ada 9X bulletin board (1-800-ADA9X25), and from the Ada Information Clearinghouse (1-703-685-1477).
