I think AT&T Bell Labs built an Ada compiler in-house which had
garbage collection, but it never saw the light of day...

Symbolics claimed to have full garbage collection/reclamation/heap compaction
in their Ada compiler as of 4 years ago.  At that time, they said theirs
was the only one.  I don't know their latest status.

     Didn't Ada on the Intel 432 do full garbage collection?  (It was supposed
to have hardware support.)  For that matter, was it ever validated before the
432 evaporated?
