[comp.lang.ada] Survey: Ada Use in Academics

pattis@cs.washington.edu (Richard Pattis) (02/26/91)

The following text and questionnaire will appear in SIGAda's May/June Ada
Letters. Because of the long delay in publishing it, we are also posting it
to this newsgroup. If you have the time and inclination, please fill out the
questionnaire below and e-mail it to:

  pattis@cs.washington.edu xor mfeldman@seas.gwu.edu

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Besides trying to enlarge the number of teachers using Ada in their classes,
the SIGAda Education Committee would also like to create a data-base of
instructors/courses/schools that already use Ada. While descriptions of
occasional or experimental courses and non-credit seminars are certainly
welcome, we are especially interested in hearing about integral courses in
your curriculum that use Ada on a sustained basis.

If you are at an educational institution and teach such a course, or are
using Ada in research, and are interested in participating in this survey
please send the following information (by e-mail, if it is convenient) to the
Education Committee.

Everyone who returns a questionnaire will automatically receive a summary of
all returned questionnaires. We hope to start an electronic mailing list
among the respondents, to promote the sharing of ideas, information, and
code. This information will be used solely for communication among interested
Ada educators; we will not use it for any commercial purposes.
